This past weekend was the long anticipated wedding of Aly Baker and Joey Williams. The bride is the daughter of my friend Laurie and I was excited to be part of a team of her friends and family that worked on flowers and decor for the ceremony and reception. The venue was Spanish Hills Ranch in Santa Margarita. Oak covered hills made for a beautiful outdoor ceremony and reception. My husband built a 7 foot cross that Laurie (MOB) covered with moss. Craig installed this under the oak trees as a foc
al point for the ceremony A rustic 'Gettin' Hitched' sign pointed the way to the ceremony site.(and of course Hitching Post wine was served later at the reception). Serving Christ is important to both Aly and Joey and they wanted their wedding to reflect that. They took their first communion as husband and wife at the cross as part of the wedding ceremony. Pastor Darin McWatters performed a fresh, inspiring wedding ceremony sprinkled with humor.
